In Roman mythology, Flora was the goddess of flowers and the season of spring. This fine classical portrait shell cameo pendant captures her beautiful image in profile with Roses in her curled tresses and wearing Roman styled robes. Circa 1910, an Edwardian piece in 15ct yellow Gold (used solely in Britain between 1854-1932) with pretty coiled details to the frame set with tiny seed Pearls. The delightful cameo is hand carved (likely in Italy) from the Cassis Rufa shell and the whole exudes a desirable historic air!
On a vintage 9ct yellow Gold rope linked chain measuring 20 inches. The pendant measures 3cm across.
